The Edwardian, Elwood Victoria
Located in the midst of Elwood’s cosmopolitan bayside surrounds, The Edwardian is a one bedroom, luxurious, self contained B&B. Hosts Bev and Michael Constable are on site to welcome you and ensure your stay is truly enjoyable and comfortable. At the same time, your privacy is assured with private entrance and self contained facilities.
The accommodation is particularly spacious providing a lounge/dining room with open fire, separate bedroom with a luxurious queen size bed, a well equipped kitchenette, pebbled ensuite and your own private courtyard. Pets are welcome by arrangement. There are floorboards throughout and a fully secure small courtyard. There is a $40 cleaning fee for renting the property with a pet.
The Edwardian is ideally located for you and your dog to have a wonderful holiday. It is literally accross the road from Elsternwick Park which has on and off-leash areas and it is a short walk to the beach where you can walk your dog along the esplanade ( on leash). Dogs are permitted on the beaches at certain times of the year but there are also a number of designated dog beaches in the area where dogs are permitted all year round.
These are:
Middle Park - between Langridge Street & 140 metres past Fraser Street toward St Kilda.
West St Kilda - from St Kilda Pier along Pier Road for 400 metres towards Middle Park Beach
St Kilda - from Brooks Jetty, opposite the back of Luna Park, to St Kilda Marina.
Port Melbourne - Sandridge Beach between the rock groyne opposite Barak Road & the rock groyne opposite Cumberland Road
Port Melbourne - between Lagoon Pier & south west to Dow Street
Two dog beaches during summer are early morning beaches:
Middle Park - between Kerferd Road pier and Langridge Street, 5.30am-9.30am only.
Elwood - between the rock groyne south of Point Ormond and the beach access ramp 35 metres south east of Normandy Road, 5.30am-9.30am only.
These seven beaches are designated off-leash dog beaches, which means your dog can run and play without a leash. All other beaches are off limits to dogs during the summer.
Dogs must to be under effective voice control at all times and you still need to carry a leash. Dont forget your poo bags to pick up any droppings.
