Medusa Hotel
The Medusa Hotel is a contemporary boutique hotel situated in bustling Darlinghurst, Sydney.With cafes, bars and boutiques on its doorstep, there is no shortage of great dining and shopping nearby. The Medusa is hip and fun and has a New York feel to it and the best thing of all is dogs are welcome to stay in specially allotted courtyard rooms.
Dogs are provided with beds, bowls and treats on arrival and are given plenty of TLC from the staff. Dog sitters can be booked if necessary otherwise Toby and I enjoy the ten minute stroll to the beautiful Ruschcutters Bay park In my experience, staff love to dote on the four-legged guests as much as possible
This hotel appeals to travellers who are looking for a central location but enjoy the boutique experience. There is no yard for dogs to hang out in and the courtyard is shared by guests, so dogs should be kept on leash or under constant supervision.
The Medusa deserves a Toby Award for being one of the few hotels in Australia which allows dogs and understands that they are very much a part of the family. The facilities and not really suited to dog friendly activities or long term stays but the staff do everything they can to ensure you and your pooch are as comfortable as possible.
