toby checks the view from Capri

Capri, Elwood Victoria

Capri is spacious 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment opposite the beach at Elwood, within 1km of St Kilda.
Capri is on the first floor of an Art Deco building, surrounded by other heritage listed properties. The apartment is an older style, but has  comfortable furnishings and a fabulous balcony, complete with BBQ and dining setting for 6, overlooking the foreshore .

The interior entertainment areas of Capri have polished floor boards whilst the bedrooms are carpeted. There is a spacious balcony for dogs to hang out on and enjoy the ocean breeze- see photo of Toby checking out the view from the balcony.

This apartment is in a fabulous location for dog lovers being literally across the road from the beach and walking distance to a year round off-leash dog beach.  Be aware that this apartment is up a flight of stairs so is not suitable for elderly dogs or dogs with any kind of leg injury or arthritis etc. There is a yard but i would not recommend leaving a dog there unsupervised. There is a fully enclosed secure balcony.

There is a $40 cleaning fee for doggy visitors.

Dog Beaches
Dogs are permitted on the beaches at certain times of the year but there are also a number of designated dog beaches in the area where dogs are permitted all year round.
These are:
Middle Park - between Langridge Street & 140 metres past Fraser Street toward St Kilda.
West St Kilda - from St Kilda Pier along Pier Road for 400 metres towards Middle Park Beach
St Kilda - from Brooks Jetty, opposite the back of Luna Park, to St Kilda Marina.
Port Melbourne - Sandridge Beach between the rock groyne opposite Barak Road & the rock groyne opposite Cumberland Road
Port Melbourne - between Lagoon Pier & south west to Dow Street

Two dog beaches during summer are early morning beaches:
Middle Park - between Kerferd Road pier and Langridge Street, 5.30am-9.30am only.
Elwood - between the rock groyne south of Point Ormond and the beach access ramp 35 metres south east of Normandy Road, 5.30am-9.30am only.

These seven beaches are designated off-leash dog beaches, which means your dog can run and play without a leash. All other beaches are off limits to dogs during the summer.
Dogs must to be under effective voice control at all times and you still need to carry a leash. Dont forget your poo bags to pick up any droppings.
