Nestled on the edge of the magnificent Jamison Valley, overlooking the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park, Lilianfels is a breath-taking escape for romantics, a delight for gourmets and a wonder for lovers of nature.
An extensive refurbishment of Lilianfels was completed in late 2004, making this historic 85 room, five star, European style country house, with two acres of rambling English style gardens and glorious mountain views, a true oasis for the senses and a wonderful getaway for you and your four-legged friend.
Lilianfels has two rooms especially set aside for visitors with pets- the only rule being dogs must be under 20kgs. Well behaved cats and birds are welcome too! There is a $50 night fee for pets and rooms are steam cleaned after departure.
A Scooby Doo room service menu is available and the chef is also happy to prepare a special meal catered to your pet’s needs.
Dog beds and bowls are provided and so is a doggie drizabone to keep pooches warm are during outdoor adventures.
Dogs must kept on leash on the premises but there are gorgeous gardens to explore, providing great exercise for both owner and dog.
Lilianfels deserves a Toby Award because it is 5 star all the way. Dogs are welcome and well-catered for.It is however, disappointing that people with dogs over 20kgs (no matter how well behaved) have to miss out on experiencing this divine Blue Mountains retreat.
